President Akufo-Addo To Handover Power To The Newly Elected President John Dramani Mahama.
His Excellency Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo who have served as the president of the Republic of Ghana for the past eight years is on preparations for bringing his administration to an end as the constitution of the country says , he became president in January 2017 when he massively won the 2016 Ghana’s general elections and the 2020 general elections to serve two terms in office as the head of the state.
Nana Akufo-Addo will be handling over power to the newly elected president John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday 7th of January,2025 at the Blackstar Square in Accra ,right after the December 7th, 2024 general elections when the John Dramani Mahama was declared the winner , Akufo-Addo congratulated him and promised to make sure he peacefully handover power to him when the time is due , couple of meetings went on between Akufo-Addo and John Dramani Mahama to discuss on how the process will proceed .
The Chief-Justice of the Republic of Ghana and other authorities and the entire country will witness the occasion of handling over power to the new administration at the Blackstar Square in Accra .
