I Am Going To Parliament To Serve The Interests Of Gomoa Central People Not Creative Art Industry Neither Musical—Says Newly MP Elect Kwame Plus-FMH.

Veteran Ghanaian musician Kwame A Plus who has been recently elected as a Member of Parliament at the just ended December general elections in Gomoa central constituency in the Central Region have sent message to his colleagues in the creative arts sector and the musical industry that he is not going to the parliament to serve interests of any of them but rather the people in his constituency who believed in him and and voted massively to emerge his win .

Kwame A Plus in 2016 campaigned for the outgoing ruling party The New Patriotic Party ( NPP) to win massively against the then ruling party National Democrat Congress ( NDC) , he then departed him for the NPP during the 2020 general elections tried to run a pressure group against the government.

In 2024 general elections, Kwame A Plus then joined the parliamentary race as an independent candidate in Gomoa Central constituency in the central region where many people didn’t believed he was going to win the seat but unfortunately he was able to defeat the sitting member of parliament in constituency by a margin of votes .

Kwame A Plus speaking on the United showbiz over the weekend on United television ( UTV) he made it clear to his colleagues in the musical industry and the creative art sector that they should not count on him as he is going to the parliament because he is not going to serve their interests , he said if they want someone to serve their interest they should call on Shatta Wale because he has better ideas about how to run the industry .
