·ΦGhana Blackstars led by Andre Dede Ayew as general captain in Cameroon 2021 was kicked out of the African Cup of Nations ( Afcon 2020) in the group stages after refusing to beat Comoros in their last game in the group stage matches to qualify to the next round of the competition , so many concerns were raised by the people of Ghana that the team wasn’t good enough so the things that had gone wrong must be addressed and fixed as soon as they depart from the tournament , as usual when the team departed from Cameroon to Ghana letter was sent to then head coach Otoo Addo and his technical staff to be dissolved, fast forward another head coach and technical team was formed led by coach Chris Hughton as the head coach and his technical team for the best preparation towards the next Afcon tournament.

The Ghana Blackstars were able to qualify for the next Afcon which is the ongoing tournament taking place in Ivory Coast, the tournament was to be played in 2023 but due to some reasons it was cancelled and scheduled to be played early 2024 , the Ghana Blackstars were placed in group C with the African football giants Egypt , Cape Verde and Mozambique respectively which everyone was expecting the Blackstars to qualify easily from the group stages to tje knockout stage along with Egypt but unfortunately the wishes of the people wasn’t fulfilled due to the failure of the Blackstars team to qualify from the group stages, Ghana blackstars played their first match against Cape Verde whereby lost two goals by one to the Cape Verde and played 2-2 draw with Egypt in their second match, there was still a chance for the Blackstars to qualify to the next round of the tournament when they were left with one remaining match against Mozambique where everyone was expecting the Blackstars to beat Mozambique massively and qualify to the round of 16 in the knockout stages, the blackstars tried all their possible best to beat Mozambique and qualify, sadly the match ended in a draw with the Mozambique , after the group stage matches Ghana blackstars was in the 3rd position with 2 points behind Egypt that came in second position Cape Verde that was underrated in the group rather topping the group with 7 good points , the Blackstars could not make it to the next round of the tournament due to the poor performance in some of their games and this happens to be the second solid time a welled built football country Ghana is be kicked out in the group stages of the African largest tournament African Cup Of Nations ( Afcon ).
